Experience ice fishing in the peaceful evening atmosphere of Lapland together with a local guide. As darkness falls, we head out into nature to a frozen location in the Pyhä Luosto or Kemijärvi area. This experience combines a traditional local activity with the calm and beautiful atmosphere of an Arctic winter evening. You will learn how to drill through the ice and try ice fishing yourself with guidance from a local. No previous experience is needed, and the experience is suitable for beginners, families and anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxed evening outdoors. A fire is always part of the experience. We take time to gather around the fire, warm up and enjoy a hot drink together. Small snacks are prepared by the fire, bringing a simple and authentic touch to the evening. If you would like to make the experience even more special, you can also purchase a traditional salmon soup. The soup is warmed up by the fire and enjoyed outdoors, offering a cozy taste of Lapland in the middle of winter nature. On clear nights, there is also a chance to see the Northern Lights. However, as this is a natural phenomenon, sightings can never be guaranteed. When booking, you can choose your preferred meeting area, either Pyhä or Kemijärvi. This helps us plan the experience to suit all participants. The exact meeting point and arrival instructions will be sent to you by email closer to the tour date. Locations are always selected based on weather and ice conditions to ensure the best possible experience. This experience is perfect for those who want to enjoy a traditional local activity, the atmosphere of an Arctic evening and the quiet beauty of Lapland nature. On colder days, we may also set up an ice fishing shelter, creating a warm and cozy spot by the ice.
