This relaxed experience takes you out into the winter nature of the Pyhä Luosto and Kemijärvi area, where everyday life is still closely connected to nature. We head to a suitable frozen location depending on the conditions and spend time outdoors just like locals do. Ice fishing is a simple but meaningful tradition here. You will learn how to drill through the ice and try fishing yourself with guidance from a local. No previous experience is needed. This experience is suitable for beginners, families and anyone who wants to try something new in a calm environment. What makes this experience special is the atmosphere. There is no rush and no big groups. Instead we focus on enjoying the moment, the fresh air and the peaceful surroundings. A fire is always part of the experience. We take time to gather around the fire, warm up and enjoy a hot drink together. Small snacks are prepared by the fire, adding a simple and authentic touch to the experience. If you would like to make the experience even more special you can also purchase a traditional salmon soup. The soup is warmed up by the fire and enjoyed outdoors, offering a simple and authentic taste of Lapland. When booking you can choose your preferred meeting area, either Pyhä or Kemijärvi. This helps us plan the experience to suit all participants. The exact meeting point and arrival instructions will be sent to you by email closer to the tour date. Locations are always selected based on weather and ice conditions to ensure the best possible experience. This is not a high speed activity or a crowded excursion. It is a chance to slow down, spend time outdoors and experience a small part of local life in Lapland. This experience is designed for those who prefer small groups and a more personal way of exploring Lapland. On colder days, we may also set up an ice fishing shelter, creating a warm and cozy spot by the ice.
